The product provided by Yatara Inc. is a comprehensive management and safety portal designed specifically for the transportation industry. It offers a suite of tools and features enabling carriers, drivers, shippers, and other organizations to effectively manage various aspects of their operations. This includes but is not limited to driver and vehicle/fleet management, insurance tracking, safety & compliance, document storage, and skill improvement through online education. The portal aims to enhance safety standards, streamline operations, and facilitate better communication and accountability among stakeholders.
Yatara Inc. collects data from you, through our interactions with you and through our products. You provide some of this data directly, and we get some of it by collecting data about your interactions, use, and experiences with our portal and other services. The data we collect depends on the context of your interactions with Yatara Inc. and the features you use. We also obtain information and data about you from third parties (see Collection of Information for more details).

- As a Driver: Your name, date of birth, gender, driver’s license number, email address, physical address, telephone number, and other identifiers you might use (such as employee number or other usernames).
- As a Carrier: Your DOT number, NSC/CVOR/MVC number, location addresses, drivers, tractors and trailers, maintenance records, IFTA statements, business documents, and staff and users.
- Indirect Collection:
- We accumulate data about your use of our services, interactions, and experiences, including:
- Your activity on our portal, such as data submissions, search queries, or other interactions.
- Your interactions with our emails, texts, and with our messages through push and online messaging channels.
- Details of your interactions with our customer service, such as the date, time, and reason for contacting us, transcripts of any chat conversations, and if you call us, your phone number and call recordings.
- Device IDs or other unique identifiers, including for your network devices (such as your router).
- Resettable device identifiers (also known as advertising identifiers), such as those on mobile devices, tablets, and other devices that include such identifiers.
- Device and software characteristics (such as type and configuration), connection information including type (Wi-Fi, cellular), statistics on page views, referring source (for example, referral URLs), IP address (which can be used to tell your general location, such as your city, state/province, and postal code), browser, and standard web server log information.
- Information collected via the use of cookies, web beacons, and other technologies, including ad information (such as information on the availability and delivery of ads, the site URL, as well as the date and time).

These partner companies may include safety companies, insurers or insurance brokers, equipment or vehicle manufacturers, online course providers, licensing or regulatory bodies, or other companies whose services you may have utilized, directly or indirectly.

- Advertisers that run ad campaigns on Yatara (“Advertisers”) that might provide us with: identifiers (for example, cookies or resettable identifiers) and other online activities (such as websites visited and ads viewed).
Retention Period
We store your personal information as long as we need it or are permitted to keep it based on the reason why we obtained it and always in accordance with applicable law. In some cases, we may also retain your personal information after you close your account with us. We may also de-identify your personal information by removing any part of your information that allows you to be identified.
International Transfer of Information
Yatara Inc. is located in Alberta, Canada. If you are located outside of Alberta and/or Canada, your information is collected in your country and transferred to Alberta, Canada or to another country in which we, our affiliates and/or our service providers operate. In some situations, courts, regulators or law enforcement may be entitled to access your personal information in Canada or in another country.
Legal Basis
